Greetings, -FirstName-, in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

We pray you and your loved ones celebrated a blessed Thanksgiving, and are looking forward during Advent to the One who is coming, the Messiah.  It is easy during this season to forget that, shortly after his birth, Jesus was forced to flee to another country (Egypt) to escape persecution by Herod.  He was, quite simply, an immigrant and refugee.
While the pandemic has created challenges for everyone, our immigrant siblings face unique challenges, including:

- Separation from loved ones due to travel restrictions
- Major delays in court proceedings and other hearings
- Being falsely maligned and blamed for the Covid-19 pandemic

Amid these challenges, New York Justice For Our Neighbors (NY JFON) is committed to welcoming immigrants into our communities with compassion, dignity, and love.

NY JFON acts on this commitment by providing high-quality, free immigration legal services, offering education to communities of faith and the public, and engaging in advocacy for immigrants’ rights. Your support helps us file applications for asylum, request special visas, and petition for family reunification.

This #GivingTuesday, November 30, we ask that you consider donating to NY JFON to show your commitment and solidarity towards our immigrant neighbors.

Thanks to a generous donor, our #GivingTuesday donations will be matched at the $12,500 mark. Any contribution will help us reach our $25,000 goal!
