Hello everyone!

Attached please find a summary of our conversation at our recent CMVT meeting (February 18), which focused primarily on budgeting for 2022.  As difficult as it may be to envision what your area of ministry may want to/be able to do in 2022, we still need consider your requests in order to put our Conference Benevolences budget together.  If you have not turned that in to either Matt or me, please do so right away.

To help you think about what you may need or want, you will also find these documents attached:

  1. A summary of actual Conference Benevolences expenditures from January 2015 - December 2020.  As you consider your ministry's 2022 budget request, please look at what you have (or have not) spent in the last five years.  This information may help you more accurately assess what funding you may or may not need in 2022.  It will also provide the CMVT Executive Team with some clarity as we put together the overall 2022 Conference Benevolences budget in preparation for the NYAC Budget Hearings on March 6.
  2. A 2022 Budget Request Form. Please be honest as a team when you put together your request.  Do you anticipate a greater need for funding in 2022, or do you anticipate spending less?  We know that 2020 was a difficult year for programming, and 2021 may provide similar challenges.  Think about how our current reality may impact the ministry you hope to do in 2022.  This will be a judgment-free meeting - we are simply looking for "real" numbers, with a well-thought-out, realistic justification for those numbers.

Feel free to reach out to me or Matt Curry with questions.  Also, if you were present for the meeting and your name is not on my list, please let me know.  Thank you.

Peace,

Carol Merante, CMVT Secretary
