Update on NYAC Response to Cyclone in SE Africa

Members of the NYAC Mozambique Connection have been in close contact with persons on the ground in areas affected by Cyclone Idai. Last week funds were wired through church connections which allowed for the purchase and installation of 4 large tarps for the Dondo House for Children. Additional funds have been approved by the Cabinet from the Quadrennial Mission Focus Fund which will be available for additional relief support. This will be coordinated among the Mozambique Connection, Connectional Ministries and the Missions office.

Where Have All the Young People Gone?
An Introduction to Our Millennials and Post Millennials

How can congregations re-engage with our children, youth and young adults? How can congregations continue to be relevant with people who do not have gray hair? Why are we struggling to connect with the youth and young adults walking past our doors every Sunday? Are these the type of questions you are asking?  Come and meet Dr. Kenda Creasy Dean who has and continues to immerse herself in the practice of connecting with young people, and will offer some concrete ideas and practices that will allow our congregations to re-engage with populations that are necessary if we are to truly be what, where and who God calls us to be in the 21st century.
