Experienced Builder/Roofer needed for
Puerto Rico mission team
The next NYAC recovery mission team to Puerto Rico is scheduled for June 16 to 23. We have received our assignment – the removal and replacement of a roof on a home damaged by hurricane Maria. This will include building new trusses and installing metal purlins for additional strength. The roof will be corrugated metal. We currently have a team of 7 but could use one or two additional persons who have backgrounds in basic construction and are comfortable working on a roof (low pitch).
Our location will be in the southeast area of the island, which took the initial brunt of the storm. Our host site is a church camp right on the ocean. One of the concerns is tying up as many homes as possible before the hurricane season begins (which as we see has already begun).

Early Response Team Recertification Class – June 16, 2018
The next ERT Recertification Class will be held at Centerport UMC (97 Little Neck Road, Centerport, NY – Long Island), from 9:30 to 11:30 AM.
Participants must have taken the ERT Basic Class, and will receive a background check. Please register on-line .
Scheduling Future ERT Classes
