I pray all is well with your soul! In case you may have missed it, our Missional Community Engagement Forum is fast approaching and will be held at the Edith Macy Conference Center (550 Chappaqua Rd, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510) on Saturday, May 19. This year's featured presenter will be Rev. Andrew Roberts, author of Holy Habits, which has been (and continues to be) used extensively in many of our churches. This will be an exciting day filled with learning and discernment, as we engage in a conversation of how the application of these spiritual disciplines or "Holy Habits" might transform us, individually and corporately. My prayer for all who are in attendance is that YOU will be equipped, empowered and energized to allow the Holy Spirit to transform YOU, your church, and, your community!
In addition to Rev. Roberts' presentation, there will be breakouts where we will cover the following areas:
- Gladness & Generosity
- Prayer & Fellowship
- Making More Disciples
The cost for this event is $30 per person and includes:
- breakfast from 7:30a-8:45a
- lunch from 12:00p-1:00p
- morning and afternoon snacks
- copy of next year's study book Flood Gates: Holy Momentum for a Fearless Church by Sue Nilson Kibbey and Bishop Gregory V. Palmer
It's not too late to register; however, the sooner YOU register the better, as we are limiting this year's attendance to 100. A flyer and the registration link may be found here. We encourage carpooling and those driving should plan on parking in the regular parking area and taking the shuttle to the main building.
Andrew Roberts is excited (it's his first trip to the U.S.); we, on the conference staff, are excited; and, we pray YOU are excited with the prospect of experiencing something new, that opens doors for seeing and doing something new, in a new spirit that is pleasing to God!
Grace and Peace,
