Youth Ambassadors in Mission 2017: Ghana 

This Friday, 2/17/17  Seventeen youth and four adults leave for the annual youth ambassadors mission trip. Each Fall local congregations from the New York Conference are invited to recommend a youth to participate in the next YAM journey.  Since 2005 over 200 youth have worked in Antigua, Bolivia, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Ghana. This year the youth will participate in a free medical clinic, coordinate a vacation Bible school and distribute Days for Girls kits.  The group will blog about their trip. Follow them at nyac.com .

Ethnic In-service Training Grants

The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM) is accepting applications for Ethnic In-service Training Grants. Grants are awarded to initiatives and programming designed to recruit, train and retain ethnically diverse United Methodists in leadership positions in every level of the church and its ministries. Deadline to apply is March 1, 2017.
