Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. I pray that this note finds each of you well and blessed.

As a new leader here in the New York Annual Conference, it is important for me on certain occasions to share my hopes and expectations for our life together here in New York and Connecticut.

This is the time of the year when all pastors are asked to spend time completing the Annual Statistical Tables Report for their local assignments. This is often perceived as a nonessential or unimportant use of time. However, I want to emphasize to you how important it is to submit these reports in a timely and accurate fashion.

It is absolutely critical that we find ways to accurately gauge where we are and where we are going as an Annual Conference. It is also essential for us to be able to accurately track a local church’s history in key metrical areas in order to assess trends, map out appropriate strategies, and make successful appointments. These statistics enable me and the Cabinet to gain greater clarity in the analysis of our health as an Annual Conference, to provide necessary initiatives and growth opportunities for pastors/lay leaders, and to assess appropriate leadership needed in and through the appointment process.

All of the above is completely dependent upon you taking the time to complete the necessary report in a timely and accurate fashion.

I am writing today to ask you to gather the information necessary and spend a day completing these tables. Please be sure that your reports are done accurately and with good oversight. I would like to ask you to do this no later than February 15th.

If we are to creatively project and plan for the future we must have the ability to accurately analyze where we have been. The sooner we are able to receive and compile this information the better we will be equipped to do our planning and projections for the future.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this request.  Along with this note, I send along my thoughts and prayers for each of you and the ministry you are undertaking in the name of Christ our Lord.

The Journey Continues, . . .

Login Information:

The tables are located at http://ezra.gcfa.org .  The system has been set up for two users from each church.  We have designated them as "Pastor" and "Office".  Your login user name is 341 plus your NYAC church number plus the letter "p" for pastor login or the letter "o" for office login, So for example, if your NYAC church number is "12345", your login would be "34112345p" and "34112345o".  You can find your NYAC church number on any church statement, HealthFlex/Pension bill or in the NYAC Journal (www.nyac.com/2015journal).  Your temporary password is NYAC341 (case sensitive) for both the pastor and office login.  When you first logon using this temporary password you will be prompted to change your password.

A more detailed discussion of the tables is available on the conference website, www.nyac.com/tables.
